The overarching goal of the NBCA
To promote cardiovascular health and reduce morbidity and mortality from cardiovascular diseases in the Nordic and Baltic Countries.
The main aim of the NBCA is to support collaboration between cardiologists and personnel within cardiovascular sciences in the Nordic and Baltic countries in order advance cardiovascular education, knowledge, research and care in the region.
The tasks for the Nordic-Baltic Cardiology Alliance (NBCA)
Arrange the Nordic-Baltic Congress of Cardiology (NBCC) every second year to update on cardiovascular care in a Nordic-Baltic perspective.
Include all health care professionals within the cardiology care, including in the NBCC organisation committee.
Meet up within the NBCA face-to-face at least once yearly, preferably at the ESC congress and every other year at the NBCC, as well as regularly by link.
Organize or develop strategies to increase collaboration between the Nordic-Baltic countries in research.
Collaborating in promoting initiatives and influence decision-making within ESC.
